I’m Julia Proskurova, a cake and sculpture artist based in Princeton, New Jersey.
For me, cake has always been more than something beautiful to look at or delicious to eat. It’s a medium for artistic expression, a way to explore shapes, textures, emotions, and ideas.
I love pushing the boundaries of traditional cake design, experimenting with techniques, and transforming unexpected concepts into sculptural creations.
Each piece begins with an idea, a feeling, or a moment of inspiration. From there, I explore how to bring it to life through form, detail, and craftsmanship.
Sharing My Passion
Teaching is another important part of my creative journey.
Through international masterclasses, private consultations, and mentorship, I share the techniques, knowledge, and experience I’ve developed over the years.
My goal is not simply to teach someone how to recreate a particular design. I want to help artists understand the creative process, develop confidence in their skills, and find their own artistic direction.
Beyond the Ordinary
I believe that creativity begins where familiar boundaries end.
I'm constantly learning, experimenting, and challenging myself to see what's possible with cake as an artistic medium.
And if there's one thing I hope my work inspires, it's the courage to create something unexpected.
